About The Practice

At Robbins Internal Medicine the goal is to provide high-quality care to every patient and ensure ample time and consideration for each visit. It is our belief that great medical care is a team effort between the physician and the patient. Overall, the goal is to maximize health, which provides a better quality of life and minimizes hospitalizations. The practice will be tailored individually in an effort to minimize the time between the need and the physician contact. Most importantly, as is our mission, we will provide cooperative compassionate care.

Concierge Medicine

Concierge medicine is a model that affords its participants much-needed commodities that have been lost in today’s medical practices: Quality on one time with a physician and compassionate/cooperative care. The majority of medical professionals most certainly desire to provide the best care to their community, however, due to rising overheads and shrinking insurance reimbursements, outpatient medicine has become a volume-based business for survival in many practices.

That is where Concierge medicine offers a bridge for both the physician and the patient. In this model, the patient contracts with a physician as a subscription for services. The physician in turn will be available on short notice and in some instances can provide 24-hour availability through telemedicine, phone calls, or even home visits. This model is successful because the fees collected from the patient allow the practice to stay relatively small which ultimately provides time for the Doctor to see patients in short order and spend more quality time maximizing overall health. Insurance coverage, although still important for other services, is no longer pertinent in this model.
